Discover the Magic of Worm Castings

Nurturing the Soil With Vermiculture
One Worm at a Time

Vermiculture is an environmentally friendly way to recycle organic waste and create a valuable resource for enhancing soil health and plant growth using earthworms to produce a highly microbial soil amendment.

Raising worms, also known as vermiculture, is the practice of cultivating and managing worms to produce nutrient-rich organic material called worm castings, vermicast, or vermicompost. This process involves creating a controlled environment where specific species of worms, such as red wigglers, break down organic waste materials like kitchen scraps, paper, leaves, animal wastes and other organic products. As the worms consume the waste, they produce castings, which are nutrient-dense byproducts of their digestion. These worm castings, also referred to as vermicast or vermicompost, are a valuable natural fertilizer and soil conditioner, rich in essential nutrients and beneficial microorganisms.
